Audubon Field Academy - The Summer Sessions
Modules 1-8
  • Saturday, July 22 & Sunday, 23 / *Modules 1-4

Join us for these accelerated Audubon Field Academy Summer Sessions in July & August.
 
All 8 modules will be covered in these two weekends (the program is usually scheduled over the course of 2 years). Participants will receive a Birding Naturalist Certificate at the conclusion of the sessions in August.
 
The total cost for both July & August sessions is $125.00.

  • Module 3 - Wading and Water Birds
  • Module 4 – Climate Change and its Effects on Birds of North America

  • Module 5 – Shorebirds and Seabirds
  • Module 6 – Songbirds and Woodpeckers

  • Module 7 – Raptors
  • Module 8 – Understanding Migrations & Bird Monitoring

Get started increasing your birding knowledge with expert guidance from our Florida Master Naturalists during these Audubon Field Academy Accelerated Summer Sessions. Learn about birdsong, bird calls and bird behavior. At the end of this course you’ll be better prepared for your birding adventures. This class will help you understand the various bird families, master tricky IDs, and will introduce you to citizen science (bird counting/monitoring) activities.You will sharpen your birding skills by better understanding bird behavior and migrant bird ecology -- along with increasing your knowledge of diverse Florida habitats.
